Buying used is sometimes very cost effective, however - you will want to make sure that the machine has been properly cleaned, tested and that necessary parts have been replaced. If you buy a used machine right off the shelve with no service contract, you are asking for trouble. If the machine breaks down (it will eventually need service) you could end up paying more than the cost of the machine.

Most serious businesses understand the long term cost of a short term (cheaper price) decision. It will invariably cost you more money in the long run, just like buying a lemon from a used car dealership.. it may carry you for a season, but watch out.

Different products are suited for different applications. Some machines work well in a given environment, but will under perform in others. There are many factors to be aware of when selecting the right product ie. Capital cost of the equipment, cost of supplies, cost of maintenance kits. It is very cost effective (and less work) to lease a machine on an all in cost per copy contract - that way you can determine the TCO (True cost of ownership) and have a much better understanding of what your printing is costing you each year.

This software is designed to only print to Kyocera MFP's, but I am sure more sophisticated apps will come out that will allow you to print to multiple brands. Kyocera created this app to run on their equipment though.

Hi - this machine is cartridge based, but the toner is of a different standard than what you will find in a laser cartridge. The cost per copy on these machines is also much better than a laser printer.

This looks amazing and impressive. I am just wondering if they also use an ordinary laser toner or not?
